We, JVCKENWOOD Corporation together with all our affiliated companies (collectively “JVCKENWOOD Group”) are committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains that we do not collect any personal information from users of our mobile application KENWOOD DASHCAM MANAGER (the "App") and the services provided through the App, except for the specific case described below.
We do not collect any personal information from users of the App, including but not limited to:
Contact information, such as your name and email address. Usage information, such as your IP address, device information, and other information about how you use the App. User-generated content, such as photos, videos, and other content that you upload or share through the App.
Information We Collect and Process We may collect non-personal information, such as approximate location, usage data, and crash reports, by utilizing Google's Firebase Analytics/Firebase Crashlytics. This is done in order to fix bugs, enhance our app's performance, and deliver a superior user experience. The information is gathered anonymously and does not identify individual users. It will be retained on Google's Firebase servers for a period of 14 months and will not be shared with any other parties.
The App also requires your permission to access your device's location in the background to collect location data to enable recognizing your dash cam's SSID and establish a connection with the dash cam for normal use even when the app is closed or not in use. To determine the model of the connected dash cam, KENWOOD DASHCAM MANAGER needs to identify the SSID of the device, which requires access to the device's location. We will not collect or share any of your location information.
We take reasonable measures to protect the App and its content from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child under the age of 13, please contact us so that we may delete such information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Privacy Policy on the App and indicate the date it was last updated. Your continued use of the App after any changes to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
